Grumpy Bee's design also originated in my TK class. The best art always does.​​ My favorite part about learning about plants, life cycles, and pollination (the biggest word for a 4 year old next to hibernation) is always the arts and crafts. I'm a visual learner, and lots of my students are too. Most of our bees came out with goofy grins, eyelashes, or blushing cheeks, but there's something especially relatable about your average, hard-working bee just trying to get through the day. This one really resonates with me. Grumpy Bee is for the grumpy days: when you do your best despite the burnout and work hard even if you can't manage a smile.
