Why allswell?

Safety      Love      Support

Hello!

My name is Kat, and I started allswell for one very simple reason. Coming into adulthood newly-diagnosed neurodivergent, I felt like I had lost my community. I'd outgrown the routine of school and struggled to find joy in my work and most other things. Finding support in my friends and family began to feel like I'd become a burden. I was burning out and I wasn't safe. But, I wanted to find what community meant to me and, once I had, determine how I could help others find it.

I have the pleasure of working with incredible young students who, in many ways similar to me and in many ways not, suffer from a lack of support. It's common to be told that they are wrong, they are different, and they should change. For someone who remembers being that child, it's heartbreaking.

It all started with Mr Sun

My journey for allswell began unknowingly when I made Mr Sun: a simple poster for our classroom. He's a symbol of positivity and strength, an anchor and a friend. For many of my students, and me, he's also a reminder to be kind. How can we be kind to others and how can we be kind to ourselves? I've needed to learn that most of all: to show mercy for the young person I was who didn't have the support she may have needed. Many other people out there, young and old, friends and family, could use that same compassion.

A portion of allswell profits goes back to charity

The purpose of allswell is to spread that message of kindness and to bring people together.

When you wear a piece of allswell, you are loved by this community.

So, for every piece you buy or wear, I hope you know that I believe in you, your happiness, and your success.
