Rain Bow

Growing up, my answer to "What's your favorite color?" was always the same. I didn't think it was fair I had to choose one color. The rainbow was my favorite. What I hadn't expected as I got older was for people to take the word and make something of it: I must be gay. And, if I was, it must be something to make a joke of.

I was raised by two people who have one of the strongest bonds of love I've ever known. As a consequence, the phrase "Love is Love" was a pretty obvious capital-T truth in our home. I was taught that love is respect, and it is kindness. It is patience, it is growth. For all of my friends and family who are queer or are queer-allies, rainbows illustrate the beautiful diversity of personalities and people in this world who celebrate, embrace, and love each other as they are.

My journey to understand who and how I love is constant, and finding people who support and accept you for you isn't always easy. A portion of profits collected by Rain Bow sales will go to The Trevor Project, an organization that helps LGBTQ+ youth access community and mental health resources in addition to advocating for queer-positive policies.
